YOU CAN download a version WITHOUT fonts included in the ZIP. It is ~42kb without fonts included, so if you already have Lucida Grande installed from the previous version, it would be quicker to download. You can get it from here:

2 formats:alfablending(32 bits) and true color (24 bits).
Extract tabsrmm_icons.dll in "plugins" folder in Miranda’s main directory.
Put "Smiley.ico" in your smileypack, and assign him as "smiley on the button".
Restart.
Enjoy :))
